Every aspect of the building’s renovations were selected in tribute to the building’s strong heritage – from the nautical colour palette to the privately commissioned art by Australian Benjamin Tankard who created a series of 9 paintings of the Melbourne Steamship Company’s ships, after which the suites and meeting rooms are named.
